We were having problems with our mail server for the last two weeks, but any emails should now have been read.
Unfortunately, we've had to raise our prices due to the low dollar. But we still have a few rolls of expired RT200N in stock for a great price. The new prices are for fresh film in the new packaging.
30 April 2008
We'll be down for maintenance at 10:00 p.m. PT for less than an hour.
16 February 2008
We waited almost six months after the post office increase, but we had to raise our international shipping rates today. Sorry! We will ship up to two cartridges though via the USPS flat rate envelopes, so the new two cartridge price for shipping is actually lower than before.
12 February 2008
There will be maintenance on the website during the following periods:
- February 16th 2008, from 00:01am PT to 04:00am PT
- February 17th 2008, from 00:01am PT to 04:00am PT
The site may be unavailable during those times.
15 January 2008
We're excited to add a link to Michel Vincent's 1970 experimental filmVoltage 70, filmed on Single-8! We hope to announce details of an exhibit of Michel's works produced as a member of Denmark's King Kong Lightgroup.
24 July 2007
The website will be down for scheduled maintenance Saturday/Sunday, July 28/29 12:30-2:00AM.
12 June 2007
We've moved! Our new address is:
2808 Elm Street
Unit 1
Los Angeles, CA 90065
USA
Our new space will include a gallery and Xenon Super 8 projection equipment for screenings and other exciting events. Look for more info soon!
Some bad news from the post office though -- we're going to have to raise our international shipping rates. The post office has discontinued the small Global Priority Mailer we used for shipping out splicing tape, processed films and other small orders. It looks like the minimum rate for most of Europe will be $11. I'll post the new rates soon.
19 February 2007 Processing prices will be going up shortly. Get your film in now to avoid the price increase.
11 February 2007 Thanks for your patience. Our server was down a few more hours than expected last night, but we're now back up.
08 February 2007 We will be performing server maintenance on Saturday Feb 10, between 10:30pm - 11:30pm PST. We may be down during that time. Thanks for your understanding.
11 January 2007 Stock up now before prices go up! We don't yet have the new prices, but expect an increase soon. For a limited time, you can save 10% when you buy a 10 pack of R25N or RT200N.
05 January 2007 The single8film.com website will be down on Sunday, January 7 from 10:00 p.m. until midnight for maintenance.
19 June 2006 Now shipping to the following additional countries: Anguilla, Argentina, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Venezuela. See our shipping rates page for prices.
06 June 2006 Just added -- replacement PX13 and PX14 replacement batteries for all your Single-8 and other cameras. Check our prices and like our splicing tape, these ship free with any film order!
17 May 2006
We've added processing for the very old Fujicolor Single-8 cartriges. See processing for more information.
30 April 2006
Our mail server was moved over the weekend. Depending on the retry settings on your mail server, we may have missed a message. If you got an error, send it again. Thanks!
25 April 2006
single8film.com has plenty of R25N and RT200N in stock and will continue handling processing for these films until at least August 2008. And coming this summer: reloadable cartridges in 25, 50, 100, 20 and 400 ASA -- all notched correctly to work with all Single-8 cameras including the AX100.
01 March 2006
Thanks to a better exchange rate, we were able to lower our prices. Stock up while you can -- prices are always subject to change.
21 August 2005
Apologies...we were down for a few days due to a broken firewall device. Let's hope the reflashed ROM keeps us up.
05 July 2005
We heard today that Fuji Australia (formerly Hanimex) was still honoring the Fuji processing mailers. Australian customers may want to check with Hanimex to confirm this.

The new site is uploaded. Since the last version there are more free manuals including one for the
rare underwater AX100, the Marine-8. This was a great value for divers because it allowed you
to descend to 40 meters using an inexpensive underwater housing that cost under $215 in 1976 (including the camera!). Recent prices on eBay have been around $50.
Divers, remember that the
correct film for underwater is daylight, which limits you with R25N to just near the surface. When you're
deeper and will use existing light, you'll need the filter on RT200N. If you'll be using artificial light, make sure to determine the color
temperature and use a filter with RT200N depending on the temperature. Find the manual on the reference page.
